Joseph spent his first two nights in the NICU for breathing problems and low blood glucose. He came into my room after and has been doing well. They thought he might have been a little jaundiced but his blood work was fine. We'll get to go home tomorrow afternoon. He has some kind of rash on his cheeks but I photoshopped it out in this picture ^^

Happy birthday Joseph Russell Simmons!! 9 pounds 5 ounces and born one day after my Grandfather's birthday. Had a little trouble breathing at first so he's in NICU for 24 hours but he looks healthy and chubby.

C-sections are not fun.

I got to go hold him for a few hours and he is amazing. Very mellow and sweet, he didn't care that they were poking him and fussing over him. His fingers are so small and his hair is so soft, I'm in love. I sang him Happy Birthday and he farted a few times - he's definitely his father's son. ^u^

Update: Joey isn't eating well so his blood sugars are low and he's in the NICU for another night. Come one chubby-boy, eat eat!!!

Ugh, they pushed my induction date back to the 20th for some reason. Which is kind of weird since I'm due on the 29th, it's just 9 days why not just let it go full term?

Anyhow, had an ultrasound today and got a few good shots. Joseph looks so cranky! But he is getting pretty smooshed, come out any time!

First of all 'ow'. My pelvis and cervix and basically all of my girl parts hurt. Getting up and walking around sucks and I have to go to the bathroom like 1,000 times a day or I will wet myself (I came really close a few days ago because I waited too long and I had to make a run for it). I have been dilated 1 cm for at least 1 week, my OB/GYN stuck her finger into my cervix on Friday and touched Joey's head 0_o I wonder what he thought of that.

Due to my ever increasing blood pressure despite medication we have set a birth date of October 8th. They will be inducing me; scary but I am so ready to get this thing out of me! It feels like a baby giraffe and he moves almost constantly - I think he wants out too.

I'm dilated 1 cm, not having painful contractions but my pelvis is very sore and Baby is moving around a lot. My OB/GYN said she could put her finger into my cervix and feel the baby's head (ew). She wants me to go at least 2 more weeks, and it is possible for me to stay at 1 cm or continue to slowly dilate more and go full term (which would be October 29th) or I could go into labor any day. 

Excited but also kinda scared x_x

Husband's advice to me: "Keep your feet up and don't do anything stupid."
